When i did mine, the instructions on the can said to put down 3 coats, allowing a specific drying time between coats. After the third coat, i hung it in the sun and it wrinkled nicely. You want to have as even of warmth all around it during wrinkle time. I used plasticoat but i am sure vht is as good if not better.
