well..i wasnt being a dick..MD79TA, i was being direct...and you dont need to be so passive agressive..my name is Mark...you can address me directly if you have something to say...you can email or pm me instead of stepping on this members post with petty insults
I was on my way out the door when i posted this earlier...i thought it was important enough to state the obvious...and had planned to follow up if no one else did by the time i got a chance to sit down and write this
a distribution block is just that, theres 2 sizes of lines..so if you eliminate it whatt ya gonna do? it splits in 3 directions..so..if its gone it just wont work
discs require more volume to work..drums not so much..so the amount of fluid is directed in the right direction by the distribution block
the proportioning valve is a hold off valve so when you slam the brakes on the rear doesnt lock up..it has nothing to do with the fluid distribution paths..its more of a regulator.
and i am sure the directions state whats what ..its a kit follow the kits directions..to be safe...it is your life when dealing with brakes..so if theres a new distribution block and a prop valve you need them both..if they want you to use the orig dist use it, install the prop valve where it says it should be and plumb new lines....get a line bender and a flaring kit and practice a couple times if you never used one..you can rent them for free at autozone...you pay and when youreturn them they refund your money..
