Scarebird, I did exactly that and all is good. Thanks, I was wondering what was up with that.
Wish I had painted the spindles with black epoxy paint instead of cast iron gray ... too late now!
On to the next project, tire rods, center link and idler arm, mount rotors and calipers, install Hitachi starter, new battery cables, clean up the underhood wiring mess the prior owner left me (installing a power post for distribution and fusible links) and then head for the alignment shop (on a trailer).
