It was summer of 1971, and I was pumping gas at a local Mobil station. 17 years old with a 1968 Highland Green Mustang fastback. It was a cool car with a 289 V8 and a 3 speed stick, dual exhaust and chrome reverse wheels (remember those?)
These 2 girls used to come to the station to buy soda. One hot summer day that came in, and one of them really caught my eye. She was a smoking hot Italian girl that did all the right things to me.....

I garnered the courage to ask her out, and our first date was at the local drive in, which is still open today (since 1955).
The date cost me less than $10 - $3 for a half tank of gas, $2 to get into the drive in, and $3 for hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, and drinks.
We dated until 1977, and were married.
Still married, two grown sons, and still feel the same way about her today.
