Irony for the Digital vs Analog worth argument:
Boxed up 100+ CD's of mainly stuff I have replaced with vinyl and no longer really played. Had dozen box sets included in the bunch if counted discs probably 130+.... Couple years ago a friend sold box similar to pawn shop for good change.
Local Pawn Shop: "we quit buying them, nobody buys them"
Local Vinyl Store: "we quit buying them, market fell out about a year and a half ago."
So because my box was all choice blues, classic rock, and some great collector type music, he said he'd look thru and give me a store credit. So next week I'll find out $, I told him I didn't care.... (like helping out young fellow with his biz).
So anyone with a vast CD collection (was me) can relish that it has about no value
On the other hand, record collectors can put a 10 buck average per vinyl on their collection and get a wham bham low ballpark value (unless it is all Kenny Rogers)
My old CD collection bought at 5K went to $0.
My record collection bought at 2K maybe went to 6K.
Math is fun at times.
