Rex,a V is just another air pump!They are no diff than any other engine!They just have very large lazy ports.They are usually weak on the off idle untill vel gets up.I have been driving factory Vs with port flo from stock 315s to close to 400 for 20 years.I have found for street driving a single plane intake is a challenge.Cant comment on Dons yet but cant see them being much diff.Would be like driving almost any 400 CFM head with a single plane intake on the street.They like CI and RPMs.Im driving a 366 NASCAR V on the street now so I have the worst of all conditions,lazy ports,too much cam and not enough CI.Putting a factory dual plane intake on it REALLY helped.I cant see Dons heads having any issue with street driving if you build it for that end.JMO,Tom
