For the first few years that I owned my goat (00-02) I used to street race in the Stockyards industrial park on Fri & Sat nights back then and it was a really big scene there, used to get off the Dan Ryan at 43rd and enter the place right there on Halsted, it was a fast in and out for me since I lived 2 mins from the Kennedy on the north side. There was a big scene actually much bigger than the Stockyards all the way by 103rd & Stony Island Av but I would never be caught dead there for obvious reasons. The SY spot was very cool while it lasted, but I stopped going when the fast and the curious douchbags started to flood the scene. After seeing those inexperienced turd jockeys crash their slow junk more than a few times I sobered up real quick and stopped going.
