The bad news is it hasn't really progressed any. The good news is Tom is about to get geared up on it.
Continuing to make progress on the pieces and parts here at the Garage. Got the intake manifold reinstalled yesterday, so the motor is getting close to paint. The valley pan was in really rough shape and had just been painted over without a lot of cleanup. We left it in place, but scrubbed it really good, sanded it down, did several coats of high build primer, wet sanded, and so on until most of the defects covered and filled in well. We then painted the valley pan and bottom of the intake and crossover before the install. Lastly, the valve covers are also now ready for paint. They were media blasted, flanges flattened, dents filled with bondo, and then the high build primer and wet sand process. They should look really nice.
More exciting to me was the "paint booth" in what used to be my wood shop got totally redone. It had been in place for about 3 years and was past it's prime with paint dust everywhere. We blew out the shop with a leaf blower, hung new plastic, put down a new canvas tarp on the floor, and put a plastic shelf inside to hold paint and supplies. It's a big improvement.
