Yep, those are the clips. I hear ya on doing it yourself, it all ads up so fast. I can tell you it's looking great but he really had to work at it. I would think your chances if making it look just right the first time out would be slim to none.
I wasn't standing over him but he laid the headliner upside-down on the roof of the car and installed all the bows then did some trimming around them. Used a heat gun a lot and took his time and more then once said how it just wasn't cooperating.
If I understood him right when we first talked, he charges around $500 to install the headliner. He makes his own sail panel pieces out of abs and I don't know if that's included or not. I wasn't about to question him about pricing too much as he came highly recommend and I know $500 for a headliner is in line with others I've heard about. That price does not include the price of the material.
