Those BFG Belted tires shown are bias ply tires (probably from the 70's).
They were on my GTO when I bought it in 1987, except they were 70 profile.
I ran them for a while, and I was impressed at how good they handled compared to other bias ply tires. They did have the classic fine, flat tread pattern typical of bias plies.
Pic attached is my GTO in 1987.

I kinda doubt you can get the bias ply BFG's anymore.
