Spent many hours at that track. Got my IHRA license there at the grand old age of fourteen.
Almost got decapitated there too. You can see the gates below the tower bridge, each gate controls the staging lanes. Had my Catalina parked in the lane waiting for my class round, so while waiting went over to the east side stands ( the ones visible ) to watch top fuel. Don't remember who's rail which was closest to a friend and myself sitting in the stands, anyroad this guys blower grenades coming just out of the hole and part of the blower lands in the row of seats behind us, the belt ( what was left of it ) lands at our feet. Ah, the days of fans seating near the action and now blower straps!
