Nice build...for a mostly street cruise car I would be inclined to have continental build a tight enough converter to let the engine idle then couple up quick after idle..
My reasoning is even at 1500 RPM that engine is probably out torqueing most engines at their peak

and it wont stay at 1500 RPM very long with that torque.
2.50`s or 2.70`s gear out back, gears multiply torque, how much do ya need at the tires..
These two things would make it seem like a mellow stock car at part throttle and putting around will make the engine last longer and then when the hammer is dropped I would be willing to bet not much would be lost from a 3000 stall and 3.20 gear
Probably hook a lot more street racers telling them you have a 2.50 gear and stock converter
