Sure i can build a 496 chevy that makes great power but the pontiac just flat kills it on the street!

Edel RPM intake.
228/238 @ .050 hyd roller, .549 lift
111 LSA

573 fl.lbs at 3800 RPM
TQ through mid is 585 - 590

591 HP at 5300 RPM
HP ramps up to 628 HP at 6200 RPM

Looked at a few "mild" 496 dyno sheets - TQ numbers are 640 plus

In most cases traction is the primary issue on the street.
