Not a good ending--the Pontiac also tripped the red light, in the final.
The winner only cut 1 good light during elims, but won anyhow. We've experienced that. Sometimes you get a bye, a couple of opponents red light, 1 gets a bad light, and one breaks or can't make a full pass for some reason, and you win the race without having to make a decent run. It happens. And the next race you may lose 1st round, even tho you make a good pass. That's racing. Sometimes it takes skill and precision--sometimes just luck.

I'm disappointed at the outcome of this race, but, I don't recall a national event where 4 of the last 5 cars were Pontiac powered. It may have happened sometime in history. Don't know.
Anyhow that'll have to be enuff for Pontiac fans, for this event.
