Having recently purchased a bracket car for my kid to drive next year in the street class puts a new perspective on safety for me. It's a fun sport, but it can be dangerous if you crash. Guys like the street outlaws, 10.5 class racers and Pro-Mods among other classes are on the raged edge of loosing control every pass. I think safety in drag racing has a pretty good record, but you never know when something bad will happen. I agree with b-man...Be safe, spend what it takes to be safe, your family will thank you for it!
