Street outlaws spawned the no prep track drag racing, not the other way around.
They, the Street Outlaws guys get paid well to show up at a no prep race at a dragstrip.
The show is a cash cow for Discovery, ever notice how many car companies are buying commercials on the show. For the life of me I can't see why toyota and VW are buying time on Street Outlaws, but they are.
They aren't buying commercials on televised NHRA racing.
