The high blow relay is probably no good or it could be the blower resistor to. The gas gauge may just have a broken wire to the ground side at the gas tank. Check the ground wire under the car that goes from the gas tank unit to the body of the car. You'll have to be under the car looking up at the back of the tank which is at the center of the car. The ground wire can break off or even rust off. You'll have a black wire that should be screwed to the body from the back of the tank. If not that will need to be put back on the body to make ground. The tank doesn't need to be removed for this.

I checked the high blow relay today and it is good. When I select High speed it energizes the relay and puts 12 volts to heavy black wire with an orange stripe. It appears to go thru the firewall and then where I don't know.
On the fuel gauge I grounded the tank, no help. I pulled and wiggled the tan wire going to the sending unit and no change. Guess the tank is coming down.
