Is that a 400?
A customer/friend of mine i just built a 408 for had that cam in his 9.00:1 400 with #16 D-ports, iron 4bbl, log manifolds, 2004R trans 2800 stall, 3.42 gears and it was a turd!
His was the HC-02D 232in 242ex .lift is high .400's 112lsa
I am asking because i am planning on putting it in a 10-1 467 with SD CNC 270cfm #17's ported iron intake, 900cfm Q-jet, i will be using 1.72' rockers with it, i figure its good for 470-500hp in the right setup.
If your engine is a 400 with 10.2:1 i can see that also working very well!
That 408 i built is now 9.5:1 with 230cfm #16's, summit 2801 installed at 109ilc
Its throttle response is night and day over his old setup!
Its all about the combo!
Thanks!
