Having spent 10 years of my life selling business insurance, you'd be surprised at how little influence the agent has over the claims department.
It doesn't matter how big a producer the agent is, he/she can't change the coverage.
I was a national award winner (in sales production) for the two insurance companies I worked for.
If an agent ever made it appear that he had influence, he was only making you think he was. All he did was get you what you were actually entitled to. Which any agent should do.
