I had no idea that we are basically running the same shortblock. I have a 1970 455, factory crank, cast rods resized with arp bolts, and heavy TRW pistons. Are the valve angles similar on your heads compared to an 87cc E head? Ive been skeptical on going with more lift with mine due to PTV clearance but it sounds like I may be fine doing it. What mufflers are you running also? I have 3 inch flowmaster super 44's now with a 3 inch x pipe. Converter is about to happen once my car is dynoed.
