I bought a totaled car back from the insurance. They just deducted the salvage value of the car from the amount they were going to pay me for the total.
The damage was all cosmetic so I drove it down to the State Patrol inspection station, they gave it the once-over to make sure it was safe and I was able to get a new title for it.
