I have no idea what you trying to convey with that last post??
Hardtop Coupe and the Sport Coupe do not share this molding, but I know you know this.
The GTO sport coupe I first mentioned has the side window frame trim/moldings off and you can see the factory spot welds Vs the many Tempest I have seen with smooth(finished) metal frames without the trim/molding.
I was trying to confirm if the Base Tempest came with these, some say yes but I know some did not so I would venture these could be add on (optional) pieces.
I have seen many 4DR sedan(Post) without this trim, but again mainly on the base Tempest model so I thought it was only "BASE" model related. But some are saying the Tempest custom could come with & without, so it still leaves me guessing/wondering.
