the bar is 3/4 of an inch and was like 270.00 with shipping,i talked to Dave at fabcraft about a rear bar for my 58 and he said they actually had a few in house that were made quite awhile ago.bar showed up marked for a 1958 and it fit perfectly,sway bar links and brackets included with it ,about 45 minutes to install and i"m set.now to see if it makes a difference? I dont know anything about a 57 but wish you luck.
