Default Fun in the desert

This is one I took at Arlington National Cemetery when I went to visit my Grandfather and two of my Army buddies. Maj. Cliff Patterson who was killed in the Pentagon on 9/11 after going back into the fire 2 times on the third attempt to rescue his fellow soldiers he was killed in the fire. The other is Lt. Col Kevin Shea who died in Iraq because he stayed past his return date to train the new officer and make sure the new unit was up to speed. Kevin died in an IED and was a great friend, soldier and a wonderful dad to two great little girls. My grandfather was a full bird Col that served in WWII and in Korea at Chosin reservoir. The Cemetery there is awe inspiring, the shear number of graves is over whelming and I try to go up there a couple times a year. God bless the volunteers that place these wreaths on every tombstone in the cemetery.
