True, but "cfms" are not cfms. Some peoples are better than others. Mikes E heads went 414 and made 1218 HP. I tried but could not get them. So I went for 404cfm heads by Gabby. Great heads, he was the first to get 1000HP NA with E heads, knows what he is doing. They made right at 1000 HP, depending on dyno. Sure, it was with NO2 cam and a heavily ported Victor vs a heavily ported BOP. AND 18-1 CR but two HUNDRED HP is a lot of HP.
I truly believe he has a gift. Can look at a port, runner and know where material needs to be removed to fill the cylinder.
If you look at just cfms those 450 cfm HPs should have made 1300HP NA, But its not about that . I just think its nuts that a "little" E head with factory steel guides made that kind of power NA.
BTW, High Port started off as a billet too.
