Rear Glass Removal
I'm trying to get the rear glass out of my 69 and am running out of traditional options. The sealant is hard as rock and breaks any cutting wire in short order. Tried cold knife with no luck. Tried heating the knife up until it was glowing red and still took several attempts at this just to get through the sealant in one spot. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there anything I can do to try and soften up the sealant?
One last trick I might have - I have access to a pneumatic knife that we use at work to remove window frames that were bonded to glass but I'd have to order the correct blades (look like typical cold knife) and I'm not convinced it will work.
Thanks,
Dan
