Tom V, the confusion is on my end. A few months ago I either read, or heard in a video, that the 405 was going to step back away from pro mod cars.
That rule change that I heard/read, stated that the 405 list cars were to have a VIN tag, steel roof and quarters,
and be back half cars. Now I see the back half portion was either rescinded, or whoever was giving the information I saw/heard was mistaken. The inaccurate information is what I was going on. The inaccurate information saw me looking for a stock front frame on the newest edition of the Crow (Marty Ps old race car). Being under the impression that Chief's new car had no stock front frame, I was confused.
In light of the back half rule not being enacted, or was never even considered, I did some more web mining and found out that the 405 list cars from now on, do not have to be back half cars with stock front frame, just VIN tag, and steel roof and quarters, problem solved.
Just attribute it to me reading/hearing a statement that was only partially accurate. Hey, all my race cars turned corners, I'm obviously not a dyed in the wool drag racer.
