It's great fun to see these old, outdated, out of business engines beat up on the latest and greatest. No matter what the format, and all the BS of "reality TV", it still makes me happy. Probably over half the audience that watches the shows weren't born when the last traditional Pontiac left a GM assembly line. Keeping the brand alive and relevant, that's for sure. If Pontiac was still in business, think how many cars he could have sold for the brand.
