Exactly. My first car was a 13 year old '66 GTO. It was an old car even then. I went on a road trip in an ancient car of mine in 1990....a 43 year old 1947 Chrysler. THAT car got some looks out in the middle of nowhere, loaded up with travel gear. Fast forward to 2017, and I drive my 52 and 50 year old GTO's around without a thought, and a lot of people don't even notice them. They don't SEEM that old. When I was in high school in the '70's, new cars sucked and were slow, and all the kids bought $500 ten-year old Chevelle SS's, GTO's, Chargers, Mustangs, etc. Cheap, easy to repair, and fast and stylish, too. I simply never grew out of it and have the GTO's all these years later. I have to respectfully disagree with the comment that old cars are not reliable...they certainly are. If your's isn't, it needs to be repaired and brought back into shape, period.
