I haven't looked at your diagram link but I will after this note. Today I checked three wiring diagrams, all with slightly different things and wiring. They did all point to the pink and black/wire from the ignition switch. I ran a new wire as the original is gone due to updates, to the distributor 12 vdc terminal, which only gives voltage with the ignition on. I put the car in acc and the wire had 12 volts, when I put the wire back on the distributor and tried to start it all voltage disappeared! If I wait a minute or two, now in shock, the voltage comes back, At this stage it was 7pm my time and time to roll it in. Saturday I will check for shorts, not sure if my distributor is a problem or my voltage regulator? Best way I know how is to disconnect the battery first and check for grounded wiring, by testing the + side to ground and then + to -. I will find it, just hoping it isn't something worth big $$$$$.
