Harvey Aluminum poured all kinds of "engineering projects" for the big three, I am guessing. At my school we had a Chrysler slant 6 block and head, early 60's vintage, cast by Harvey Aluminum. They still have the head down there in a cabinet. Closed chamber, aluminum slant 6. So it wasn't just high performance the OE's were looking at. Amazing stuff being experimented with in the 60's.
