TH400 does not use a kickdown cable like a TH350 does, it uses a kickdown solenoid actuated by a switch mounted either on the accelerator pedal of the carburetor.
A 13" converter was used with 3 bolts holding it to the flex plate. Stall speed was somewhere in the 1500 to 1800 RPM range.
The TH400 uses a different yoke (32 spline) than the TH350 and you'll need to shorten the driveshaft by about 1" or a little less if you're using the TH350 driveshaft.
