Tom, thanks for checking, all is right in the world again!

Lemans64, just so you know, your Fremont built Lemans shows a Time Built code on the Data plate of 2B, this decodes as:

2 = Feb
B = 2nd week of the month

Nobody really knows what calendar dates were represented by the 2nd week of any given month but for our purposes, generally this pins it down close enough.

The 1st character 8 in the VIN confirms that it was a V8 build, 6 cyl Tempests would have a 1st character 6 in the VIN.

If you have the PHS doc for your car, it would list the specific engine option, 2 bbl 326 or 4 bbl 326.

The Fremont Doc will also show the "DATE PRODUCED" and the "SCHEDULE NO. AND DATE".

Not certain if the DATE PRODUCED is the date it rolled off the Final Assembly line or perhaps the date it started final assembly, but again, as close a Birthday date as you can possibly get for your Lemans.
