The last couple years I thought I had to gear up and up the stall to 3800 to 4200 to get into the 10's.
What many don't realize there is a bit of a trick to my setup,my th 350 has a 2.75 low gear set..So if one does the math my th 350 and 3.08 gears has the same effective first gear ratio as a th 400 and a 3.42 gear.
Hopefully all the changes are positive for my milder gear/convertor combo.
More head flow with small port volume
More intake flow with small runners
More compression from 10.1/10.2? to 10.75
More valve lift
Lighter valvetrain,
Near perfect port match,
Lighter rotating assembly ,pistons weigh 420grams,pins 109,(compare to 800grams plus for TRW's and pins)
Zero decked block
Shortblock hard blocked to bottom of water pump
