I had attempted this using a '33 Ford pickup. I didn't get far enough though. Hurst used to make engine mounts for this type of stuff back in the '50s and '60s and I bought some NOS ones for mounting an early '60s 389 into it as well as a bellhousing to bolt to the original Flathead toploader. I decided against going through with it due to flathead toploaders are getting a bit expensive to rebuild and I don't feel like blowing up the transmission every week. The banjo rear end would not hold up to that kind of torque either.

Model A's are a bit tight in the interior, going to automatic with a column shift is usually a good way to free up some space. Also, getting a 2-door sedan or something along those lines would be good for room as well. The pickups don't have much space and there isn't really any good option to put the seat anywhere else.
