I remember years ago when I had my first trans am in 1987 ( 1978 T/A) A friend who was 10 years my senior was telling me I needed to find a 428 to replace that 400 engine & have some fun. I thought he was kidding as I had never heard of a 428 at the time. Pretty much a 67-68 big car engine & I wasn't really into those cars or the nostalgia of the pontiacs at the time. He sadely passed away a few years back & I always think of him now if I hear about a 428.
