I wouldn't change the springs unless you have a ride height problem. The difference in weight from a 301 and a 400 isn't much. If your ride height is good I would at least try it. When springs are changed more often than not it becomes trial and error. Rare the first springs you try are dead on. Look at how many cars get full restoration and don't sit right. JMO.
