All what talking Brian. Saying a factory block Pontiac, pump gas, NA engine has no chance on keeping up with a 900HP build is not some crazy boast. If one even tried to make a as described engine it would beat itself to death and you know it.
Could not run enough cam and RPMs to get it done. Especially if its a 4" stroke and only 455ci, not a chance.
I will send Frank a big deposit on the aluminum IA2 within the next couple weeks. Then the other major engine part I dont have is the rods. The Molnars are under 800$ so it wont be a issue. I hope to have it done for next season. But I am also putting a roof on the house before the winter.
You tell me what it is going to make. Its not as bad as your build but its mine. IA2A, 4.35 bore 4.5 stroke, 535, 11.75 CR, Lil Jacks/Gabbys 408cfm E heads, all the best stuff, 1.8 T&Ds, Jessel rollers, Scott Browm cam with at least .830 lift, Tiger intake blessed by John Marcella topped by a Dale Cubic. Its going to run, I know that. 850 with ease I say. How far I get past that, we will see. 900HP goal.
So I might end up with the most NA E headed Pontiac pump gas power.
