Think I can build a 4" stroke 4.255 bore 455 that makes over 750 na hp hopefully on pump gas. Lots more on race gas or e85.
Plan on stuffing in either a nice 1st gen or 91-92 3rd gen. Probably auto with OD but a 5-6 speed stick might be fun to try .

Bruce, I know this might sound like a sales pitch and I don't intend it to be, but you can if you use my RA5 heads. We already done it with an independent dyno not our own and confirmed interdependently at the track. I chose not to do it in house or in my car so no one could say I fudged the numbers. I used a 455 factory block with stock stroke and 4.155 bore so I could show case my heads ability to work on a small bore. I Used a hydraulic profile cam too with 10.4-1 compression. Jim Robertson on here dynoed it for me in Texas. The engine consistently made 750 to 760 HP, and made 780 a couple of times. It actually showed a little more in the car, but I attribute that to having a hood scoop with a positive pressure on the carb.
