May Van Nuys here, both sides are flat.
There was also talk somewhere about floor plugs and how rear plugs disappeared from production by this time. However they are present in my May Van Nuys car.
Like Formulabruce is thinking, and from what I've seen on other brands, I think the West coast cars differ in quite a few areas verses the Norwood cars.
