I bought my used Birdcatcher for less than $1200. By the way, I've got a 4.1" Toilet you could borrow. I'm not sure one would do it, though. I looked into that when I switched to a blower and decided the Birdcatcher is the easier way to go. It would bolt to your blower. You would probably want to add port injectors, though, in addition to hat injectors so you could tune each cylinder separately.
You're right, the east coast downhill mineshaft air tracks make it easier.

I run my 7's with a DA over 5,000' here in Tucson.
