300 Watts, like lighting 4, 75 watt bulbs. It's much cheaper/easier than buying a starter and installing it in 0 degree weather in the driveway, been there done that.
I don't plug mine in til it gets down below 15, it'll start on the glowplugs without extra heat in the block. I also usually plug it in 2-3 hours before I'm going to start it, don't usually leave it plugged in all night long like some people do. I also switched to 5/40 Synthetic Rotella this year so it's not so hard to start. Every little bit helps.
