Revised plans..........

I looked into a gambrel style roof and it would be the same price ($4500) give or take, however it gives me a lot more room to work with. It would give me a peak ceiling height of 7 feet vs 3 feet which would allow me to get full use of the lift just by offsetting it by about a foot. Where as I would hit the ceiling with the truss design. We also talked about cutting the original trusses and I was advised against doing that. The cost of getting an engineer involved would be crazy for the little gain in ceiling height it would give me.
Seeing this design makes the cost a lot more justifiable in my eyes. What do you guys think?
