Battery isn't going dead is it? Sounds almost like some electrolysis taking place in the cooling system. Like a temp sensor that has a short to ground through the coolant, creating hydrogen/oxygen bubbles.
Or some kind of chemical reaction taking place in the coolant that is creating gases.
