I second what TAKerry said. I used to be intimidated by electrical wiring, but it is not that difficult to check. I have restored / refurbished dozens of wiring harnesses for late 60's to mid 70's cars. If the harness is out of the car , it is easy to check continuity using an ohm meter. I have a large container full of old wiring and lots of original connectors. You can easily purchase the correct style spade pins other ends too.The correct looking wrap is also readily available. Just yesterday I made the correct wiring for my 1967 GTO under hood light.
