I personally think original glass is cool, especially windshields. Not because it needs to be original, But I always find it amazing because of the common stone chips, stress cracks & the ever popular worn out wiper blade witness marks. Sure not a deal breaker by any stretch to have aftermarket glass, But date matching glass is just cool in its own way. Most people I talk to do not even know the glass is date coded. I learned about it not all that many years ago & it was after that time that I became more interested in it. Just a cool aspect of surviving cars even if they have had a repaint imo.
