Mid 70’s say the arrival of the dual MPH / KM/H speedos in Canada. Actually a lot of US sold cars changed at time too before the US decided not to go metric after all when Reagan got elected.

3,122 was the number of 69 GTO hard-tops sold in Canada (including Judges).

A part of history that seems to be missing is the retail pricing of Canadian cars and their options. In general prices were 20-24% higher than in the US (based on a handful of original window stickers).

I paid about $300 or 400 for the set of those wirewheel covers in near NOS condition (early take offs) about 10 years ago.

Be carful to not buy the identical looking 15” versions used on the big cars.
