Ignore the comments regarding the diaphragm , the reason it's crumbling is regardless of which ball I choose, when inserted - plugs the orifice. This is why it's unable to pass air properly and is causing this crumbling effect. Essentially I'm pulling rod down and orfice is plugged. I guess i need to locate the right ball system for this carb.

I was hunting down google pictures. I believe this link is what my early model 3310-3 most likely came with.
