This is the end result. Ames contacted REM about this issue. Their first take was that I had it installed wrong (backwards). I advised them that was not the case as I tried all that nonsense before calling Ames.
So Jeremiah and I did some measuring on the actual bow locations vs actual measurements on the headliner itself.
I then suggested he take one off the shelf and measure the distances between the loops on that headliner.....They were different...even though the overall measurement was close to being the same.
My take is that REM did not cut it short, but put the loops in the wrong locations...
Measure yours on a table or floor and if you come up with what Ames had on theirs...your good to go...Remember, I needed at least 14-15 inches from the 1st bow to the Rear View Mirror to make it work..
They are sending me a new one.....
