Really??? Why??? CV-1's should run better. For starters, they flow 30+ cfm more as cast. I ran 3 tenths quicker with my CV-1's over HP's. My HP's were standard port that flowed 390 and the best my car ran with them was 8.38. My CV-1's flowed 435 and my best run was a 8.08. If I had decided to do a little more tuning on it, possible a cam and/or converter swap, I'm sure I could've gotten into the 7's. Don't think I could've gotten much more out of those HP's. But, I decided to do something different, Drag Week and street/strip type stuff, and still running CV-1's.
Sure, I could've done a set of wide port HP's and it'd probably have been a closer match. But, in my case, I didn't want to deal with all the offset stuff.
We get it, CV-1's aren't the head for you. But, I don't get why you have the bash them every chance you get. Just let it go.
